Another favourite.

Damn fine beer, also from the Alsace area of France, near Germany. Brewery was originally located in Strasbourg but was moved to Schiltigheim, which is apparently a suburb of Strasbourg, allegedly because the water was better there (?). Now owned by Heineken, more’s the pity but they appear not to have ruined a good product.

Technically a Pale Ale, it’s 6% alcohol so a little on the high side for me, but a very refreshing beer. I’ve had it on tap several times, as the photo above can attest, and also in bottles. It’s slightly unusual in that in addition to the normal 33cl bottle, it makes a 65cl bottle with swing top.

You will see it fairly often in French bars,, and the packaged version is readily available in supermarkets etc.
