1909 & 1912 Blondes

So, two beers from a brewery called Brasserie Artisanale du Mont Ventoux, in town of Carpentras, near Mont Ventoux.

The 1909 and 1912 are just references to different altitudes of Mont Ventoux.

Both are Blondes and Bio (organic).

About to try them both, at Saint-Blaise, near Gordes, France, March 2024

The 1909 is as the label indicates, a Lager. Alcohol content 4.5% so on the light side. Cloudy with a good head. Refreshing, certainly worth looking out for; I preferred it to the 1912 (see below) and rate it 6.5/10

The 1912 is a Pale Ale, slightly higher alcohol content (5%). Richer colour but still quite opaque, good head. I preferred the 1909, this one is slightly acidic and not all that refreshing.

6/10

An earlier tasting of the 1912, in October 2023 before I realised (a) that there was a 1909 and (b) they both come in smaller bottles!
