Affligem

A very well-known Belgian beer, to be found in many parts of France and, naturally, Belgium.

It’s a blonde Abbaye beer, quite strong (6.8%) like many of them. Brewery is now owned by Heineken.

Not a favourite but perfectly drinkable and for my taste a better alternative to Leffe. Have only had the draught version so can’t compare to the bottled one.

Almost always is served in a very attractive glass seen in the photos here. Quite a good head, nice colour but, as I say, at 6.8% alcohol, a bit strong to be having multiples.
