Jupiler Pils
This is a favourite of mine and quite easy to find in most parts of France at least, as well as of course Belgium. While it’s not in the Loburg class, it’s a damn fine beer and if there’s no Loburg to be found, this is my next preference.
A Pils as noted in the title, nice colour and good head, very refreshing and 5.2% alcohol which is in my preferred range.
Said to be the biggest selling beer in Belgium; brewery is located in the lovely city of Liège. It’s now owned by the behemoth Anheuser–Busch InBev which seems to own every brewery on the planet.
Look for it in your travels or buy it online.

Just this week (September 2023) I found Jupiler at a bar called Le Bistro de l’Hotel de Ville in the beautiful town of Honfleur in France. I felt that such a beautiful background deserved to be included on the blog.
